What We
OFFER

1. Community In Blue (CIB) Patrollers

Hilton’s streets and neighbourhoods are monitored every night by residents registered under SAPS’ “Community in Blue (CIB) Patrollers” initiative. With a complement of over 200 committed residents, organized into 15 CIB Cells, our members take turns patrolling, acting as the vigilant ‘eyes and ears’ of SAPS. This partnership plays a critical role in deterring criminal activity and ensuring a rapid response to incidents.

2. Hilton Buddies – Caring for Vulnerable Residents

Our community not only focuses on security but also cares deeply about the well-being of vulnerable residents. The Hilton Buddies volunteer program is dedicated to supporting the elderly, infirm, and other vulnerable members of our community, making sure they are safe, healthy, and supported.

3. Strategic Surveillance and CCTV Monitoring

Hilton Security operates an extensive surveillance network, with cameras in strategic locations throughout the area. Many intersections and off-road sites are monitored by residents, providing 24/7 oversight to capture suspicious activity. Together with SAPS, they actively monitor and respond to alerts, working to prevent crime before it happens.

4. Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Network

In collaboration with the uMngeni Community Safety Initiative (UCSI), our ANPR camera network scans and tracks vehicle license plates across Hilton. This continuous monitoring helps identify vehicles involved in suspicious or criminal activity, providing SAPS and local security companies with real-time data to facilitate rapid interventions.

5. Winterskloof Patrols

Dedicated operatives patrol the Winterskloof neighbourhood day and night, ensuring round-the-clock vigilance. Their proactive presence deters potential criminals from entering the area and reinforces a sense of security within our community.

6. Hilton Community Police Forum (HCPF)

The Hilton Community Police Forum meets monthly, bringing together CIB leaders and community representatives to discuss recent security developments, strategize improvements, and reinforce our united commitment to safety.

7. Hilton Rapid Response (HRR)

Our Hilton Rapid Response unit is a collaboration between local armed response security companies and Hilton SAPS. These teams work closely to respond swiftly to any crimes reported in our area, ensuring community members can feel secure in the knowledge that help is just a call away.
